  • Understand your data management goals
  • Discover and clarify your current situation using the “data value map”
  • Identify your obstacles to success
  • Make specific recommendations
  • Agree actions and set out the solution roadmap

Apply Technology Phase

  • Customise the proposed solution
  • Implement the recommended solution(s)

Helping Leverage Phase

  • Knowledge transfer
  • Application training
  • Ongoing support

The Data Value Map

When undergoing a large data project, we work with our clients to fully understand their business processes and technologies. From this we develop a picture of their current data management position and what their goals are.

To do this, one of the tools we apply is the data value map developed by University College Cork.

It is a zero technology tool which allows us to: uncover communication gaps between data creators and data users; understand all the components of any data gathering exercise and how they are linked; clarify the steps from data generation to data use and rethink how data is collected, stored and analysed.
