Data Processor

The data processor in DedupeExpress de-duplication software flags matched records with group numbers or text, and moves data between primary and secondary records.

Match's version of the Data Processor has a wider capability, allowing for transformations of the data when moved between records (e.g. casing, elaborate business words, apply gender etc), allowing for a more comprehensive merge of matched records.

Match's data processor also works in stand alone enhancement mode, enabling it to work with 'unmatched databases' to perform standard and customized transformations/standardizations of the data - a highly advanced version of 'find and replace'.

Matching Engine

DedupeExpress can only process the data using an internal MS Access engine. Match is able to use SQL or Oracle to process the matching faster on higher volumes of data.

Whilst we offer an unlimited record version of Dedupe Express, processing volumes of over 3 million records is likely to cause a substantial drop-off in processing speeds.

Custom Library Transforms

Match de-duplication software allows users to build their own standardization/transformation libraries above and beyond what is held in the DQ Data Universe (the universe of common data variances). Recent examples include Irish address and name variations, salacious word lists and 'junk' character filtering.

These transform libraries can be used both to aid the matching process, and standardize/transform data in the data processor.

Visual Basic (VB) Scripting

VB Scripting allows the user to write more complex rules and pre/post processing routines. These are typically used when complex rules for deciding which record should be kept as the master. They are also often used to add more matching logic - e.g. if matched records contain first names - Sam, Chris, Lyndsay, Jo etc, compare salutations/date of birth, etc.

Advanced Session Mode
The Advanced Session Mode allows users to remove certain fields from the MATCHKEY, whilst still comparing them for similarities. This will ensure that where there are substantial differences between potential duplicate records, they are not rejected at the first stage.

Password Protection
As Match de-duplication software is more often used as a network installation we provide a password utility to avoid untrained users potentially making incorrect updates to the database.

Create Field
Users of Match who may not be technically adept at creating new fields in Access, SQL or Oracle (for the purpose of adding flags to the data) can do so easily with this function - removing the need to involve IT managers due to lack of knowledge.

Goldmine Native Connection
Match can work directly with Goldmine.

Branding
The main Match screen can be branded with any jpg image to allow internal branding.
