A DATA QUALITY BLUNDER!
We recently stumbled across this unintended data quality error as a result of what should have been a simple data processing task.
The task was to remove "The" from a string as the target field was too small to receive the data. They unwittingly removed "The" from anywhere in the string, so, rather than just at the start and removing "The" for example "The Weather Channel", they removed it from anywhere in the name and the following ensued..
